Listen to Fiona MacNeill speaking about Personal Leadership.
WHY ARE YOU BEING ASKED TO TAKE PART IN THIS?
300 leaders have already completed a Personal Leadership Programme with another 90 about to start. The desire is to share that learning with everyone across your organisation to ensure you have an equal opportunity to grow and develop and to support the cultural transformation.
This programme has been designed to provide you with the core theory, language and practice, to enable you to see how you can contribute to the future. This is a unique opportunity to be part of an organisation wide initiative where everyone is being invested in.
TIMELINE
The programme for all colleagues is a 12-month journey, aligned to internal 1-1s, team meetings and performance and development conversations. Colleagues will all be issued with a textbook ‘How Full is Your Bucket’ at the May conference and conversations with line managers and attendance at workshops will follow on from there. If for whatever reason you are not attending the conference, please let Sharon Brown from the People Team know and she will arrange to send you a copy.
- Month 1: How Full is Your Bucket is issued, conversation with Line Manager about why the programme matters.
- Month 2: Line Managers meet delegates and talk through their strengths. Tools in the toolbox to support this. Delegates complete Universal Behaviours Self-Assessment.
- Month 3: Online Strengths and Values Workshop.
- Month 3: After the above. Delegates complete Transactional Analysis assessment and read about assertive conversations.
- Month 4: In-person Workshop -Assertive Conversations.
- Month 5: Development Plan with Line Manager.
- Months 6, 9, 12 – Action Learning Sets with 20 delegates and 2 NHS Supply Chain Facilitators.
ATTENDANCE PATTERN
- You are allocated a space on a group of 20.
- There are 45 groups and these are joined into 5 Clusters: 9 groups per Cluster.
- You will attend the in-person workshop in your own group, so if you are allocated to G1 you will attend in person with G1. The groups run simultaneously, so you may be attending the same day and venue as others, but you will be in a different conference room, with a different member of Fiona’s team on the day.
- The first online sessions are 29/6/26 and the last in person workshops are on 30/09/26.
Outside these times, support will be provided by your line manager and the NHS Supply Chain Facilitators.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
With the support of your line manager, you will have learning tasks to complete, and you will be given time to do this at work.
There will be around 3 hours preparation before each component. You will be guided through the learning journey by your line managers and supported by NHS Supply Chain Facilitators who have been trained to do this work. The programme inputs will be delivered by Fiona MacNeill and her team.
You will be given a textbook, ‘How Full is Your Bucket’, and have guidance through engagement with this toolbox.
